Towards the beginning of the pandemic, our team at Hoot Design Company found ourselves recognizing that Hoot needed a facelift. After months of repositioning and discovering who we wanted to work with and why—we knew we needed a website that portrayed the new us: one that showed off our professional work and our bad*ss team. I led the overall website redesign over a span of eight months (of course, with the tremendous help of the team. Couldn’t have done it without any of you!) We shifted our site’s focus to be on our work—the reason why people hire us—instead of a focus on our team and culture, which we’ve learned is the reason why people want to work for us. I helped craft a new photo style that elevated us to ‘agency’ instead of making us feel like a ‘solopreneur’ business.
